John Beswick Dogs – 14.5cm German Shepherd
Popularly known as Wieners or Teckels, Dachshunds, with their unusual shape and colouring were originally bred to hunt badgers and other small, tunnelling animals. Their shorter legs would allow them to enter badger dens, and their fierce personalities would give them the courage to take on the 15-pound mammals!
These unusual yet cute and quirky canines have become very popular over the years. This miniature dog has been finely modelled and lovingly hand painted to create a realistic life-like study and make a wonderful gift for anyone who is a fan of the breed or for avid collectors.
